Show Notes

Question 1: What is the most important thing someone who sells DPF filters needs to know?

You must address it as a system rather than a component. Do not just look at the product, but see how it fits, what it does for the entire system.

Question 2: What is the most important thing someone who sells Diesel Oxidation Catalysts or DOCs needs to know?

The role of the DOC is to heat up the system, to get the catalytic system done.

Question 3: How are the new 2027 targets for emissions in the United States going to impact the after-treatment sector?

There is going to be a drastic impact, even though we do not know exactly what is going to happen. There is no clear definition of what they want to do other than reduce NOx gases by another 90%.

Question 4: What are the three most important things someone who buys after-treatment parts needs to consider?

Availability, Cost, and Reliability.

Question 5: What is something most people don’t know about DPFs or DOCs?

Most people don’t know how valuable, and important these systems are, and that once you understand their function as a whole, it’s not that complicated.

Question 6: What is the one thing that you want people to remember from our conversation today?

Treat your after-treatment system as a system first and do regular maintenance on these systems to increase uptime and decrease downtime.
