Truck Parts Inventory Provides You with a Unique Truck Parts Marketplace

The pandemic of 2020 has taught the world how important the trucking industry is and the role it plays in keeping people safe and providing them with the essentials of life. Important things like food, water, clothing, energy, and medical supplies.

Learn about how leaders like Scott Tetz of TruckPartsInventory.com is actively supporting the trucking industry.

Equipment Failures

When you operate heavy-duty trucks you inevitably will have equipment failures. Often these failures happen when you have time-sensitive deliveries that must be made. In a medical situation, like during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, lives can literally hang in the balance.

Parts Suppliers

That’s where people like Scott Tetz of TruckPartsInventory.com are so very important. I recently interviewed Scott on The Heavy-Duty Parts Report and we had a great discussion about the essential role parts suppliers play in supporting the trucking industry. Scott also explained his philosophy of serving the people in the trucking industry first and not primarily worrying about profit.

During the interview, I asked Scott to recount the origin story of starting his company. In episode 7, I had interviewed one of his sales professionals and he had told us the story but I wanted to hear it from Scott himself.

Scott told the story this way:

“I had always wanted to create a computer system that will help salvage yards sell parts. I had seen my Dad struggle with his own salvage yard, he had to be there because he knew where everything was, so it was generated from the need in the industry that I saw watching my Dad struggle.”

I was interested in understanding how the business had evolved from those early days so I asked him to explain how his advertisers offer access to new, aftermarket, and recycled parts.

A Free Resource

One question I had was how much it costs people to use the service and find parts. The great news is that finding parts on TruckPartsInventory.com is absolutely free.

When you go to your local parts store, they are pulling inventory from their own warehouse and possibly a nearby distribution center. It was great to hear that TruckPartsInventory.com allows people to source heavy-duty truck parts from all over North America.

I presented Scott with a scenario where we have a broken down truck in an unfamiliar city and the driver has a load of medical supplies that must be delivered. The part needed to repair the truck and get it back on the road is unavailable at the local parts store.

Scott explained how TruckPartsInventory.com can help in that situation by doing a live demo. You can find that at the 7:15 minute mark of the video.

A Deeper Conversation

We included a great conversation that Scott and I had after the interview because we talked about Scott’s philosophy on doing business in the trucking industry.

Scott asked some important questions and he had this to say:

“Why do you do what you do? Do you do it to serve other people or do you do it just to make a paycheck? This has been our company philosophy the whole way, we are here to serve people.”

It was a great interview and discussion and I appreciated Scott being a guest on The Heavy-Duty Parts Report.
