Interview Questions and Answers
Question 1: What does Hengst bring to the North American market that is unique?
Hengst has three characteristics that differentiate it from other companies. It has been in the same family for 60 years and has the financial backing of a large company with the adaptability of a small company, while also having a focus on getting their own IP into their products.
Question 2: Where can people buy Hengst commercial filtration products today?
You can find them at Fleetpride, Amazon…etc, as well as some local distribution sources. To find local distribution you can go to their website.
Question 3: What problem existed and how does your products address that problem?
Allot of filtration systems are spin on, but are fully encased, so there is no way to see problems. A cartridge-based system eliminates that problem. Everything in their solutions is a lifetime part. You are handling a filter that you can inspect and see everything.
Question 4: How important is maintaining specs across service intervals?
An oil filter ciphers particles from the oil, and overtime reaches its dust holding capacity. At that point, the filter should be replaced. If you push the limits of the filter, it can no longer efficiently flow oil to your engine. Also, contaminates can start getting past the filter and causing irreversible damage to your engine. That is why it is important to follow the recommended maintenance.
Question 5: If we take the long view, your products have a lower environmental impact over traditional filtration, why is that?
Instead of metal filters being tossed in a landfill to sit for hundreds of years, Hengst has created combustible filters.
Question 6: What is the number one thing you want fleets to know about Hengst?
Hengst does not compromise on the quality of its products. They understand that uptime is paramount to fleets. Also, their filters are built to OE specs and are focused on making sure fleets runs day in and day out.
