Revisiting the 2023 Virtual Diesel Expo

The Heavy Duty Parts Report is proud to have been a sponsor of the 2023 Virtual Diesel Expo, organized by Diesel Laptops and Alliant Power. On top of offering technical training, the expo featured a wide range of experts within the diesel industry who gave meaningful insights.

The Goal of the Virtual Diesel Expo

“The goal of the Virtual Diesel Expo is to help everyone in a repair shop, from owners to technicians, increase their skills and profitability. More customers, more revenue, more jobs completed. We know downtime is money lost and that’s why the VDE delivers the range of content for free you’d expect to find at a live event; all online and on your own schedule,” says Tyler Robertson, CEO and Founder of Diesel Laptops.

Here’s a rundown of what viewers got out of the expo:

  • $50,000 in prizes and giveaways
  • Insights from diesel industry leaders
  • Light, Medium, Heavy-Duty and Off-Highway topics
  • Technical Training

Attendees got to experience presentations from many experts within the industry, most notably:

Jamie Irvine: How to Win the Talent War and Skyrocket Your Business

Placing employees in roles that don’t match their personality traits can lead to underperformance and high turnover rates. To overcome this challenge, companies need to optimize job roles, create career growth plans, and leverage world-class psychometric assessment tools for hiring, managing, and growing their team. By doing so, they can win the war for talent, increase productivity, and secure their future success.

Tyler Robertson: Right to Repair

The Right to Repair is a global movement to secure our access to parts and tools to get our stuff fixed, manuals and diagnostics manufacturers use, and software to reset security locks and repair parts. Coming off a signature year in 2022, during which two states enacted right to repair legislation, in 2023 so far, 20 states have already filed right to repair legislation.

The Power of Trust: David Saline

Knowing how to earn someone’s trust and knowing who to trust is vital for owners and managers to know. What is trust? How do you earn it? How do you get it back when lost? Who should you trust?

Missed it?

No worries! Stay tuned for news regarding the next Virtual Diesel Expo, coming May 2024.
