Jeremy Kahrs is the New Vice President of Research and Development at Yokohama Development Center America

Jeff Barna, the President and CEO of Yokohama Tire Corporation, has just announced that Jeremy Kahrs is the new Vice President of Research and Development at the Yokohama Development Center America (YDCA) facility in Cornelius, North Carolina.


Previously serving as YDCA’s Senior Director of Research and Development, Jeremy Kahrs now assumes responsibility for overseeing all day-to-day operations at YDCA. Barna attributes this promotion to Jeremy Kahrs’ exceptional technical acumen, unwavering passion for engineering, and his steadfast commitment to supporting the R&D team, all of which have played pivotal roles in YDCA’s remarkable success.

In his new capacity, Jeremy Kahrs will report directly to Jeff Barna, ensuring a seamless flow of communication and alignment of their strategic goals.

What About the Former Vice President of YDCA?

Barna made an additional announcement concerning Tom Kenny, the former Vice President of YDCA. Tom Kenny will transition into an Executive Technical Advisor role, where he will be entrusted with defining and supervising strategic projects. Kenny’s invaluable contribution to establishing YDCA as a premier technical center in the United States has not gone unnoticed. In his new role, he will continue to collaborate closely with Jeremy Kahrs and the development team, offering recommendations on future development initiatives, product testing, and enhancements in quality.
