New Leadership for Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc.

Big news from Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A. (HMM), Inc. Effective September 1, 2023, Mr. Davey Jung has assumed the roles of President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board for HMM. This appointment marks a significant milestone for the company and signifies a new chapter in their journey. Mr. Jung takes the helm from Mr. Masamichi Mizukoshi, who has retired from his role at Hino.

Mr. Jung’s association with Hino Motors Manufacturing (HMM) dates back to 2007. Over the years, he has played pivotal roles in several critical areas of leadership, including Purchasing, Sales, Corporate Strategy, R&D, HR, Legal, IT, and Supplier Preparation & Development. His profound understanding of the industry, combined with his strategic ability, uniquely positions him to lead HMM into an exciting phase of innovation. Most recently, Mr. Jung served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for Toyota Business at HMM. In his new role as President and CEO, Mr. Jung will prioritize the enhancement of manufacturing and supply chain efficiency while steering the company towards continued success and groundbreaking innovations.

In tandem with Mr. Jung’s appointment, HMM has also announced the elevation of Mr. Masaki Hanayama to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Hanayama brings a wealth of experience garnered from critical leadership positions worldwide. His excellence reportedly shines through in areas such as Sales, Marketing, and Alliance Management at our Japanese headquarters. Within HMM, Mr. Hanayama most recently held the position of Executive Vice President, overseeing the Truck Business, Production Management, and R&D. His multifaceted expertise equips him to provide strategic and operational insights that will propel the company forward.

In addition, Hino produces axles, knuckles and suspension components for Toyota’s Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia at its Marion, Arkansas facilities. Hino’s Mira Loma Parts Distribution Center distributes genuine Hino service parts to Latin America and the Caribbean.
