Battery Innovations
At both the AAPEX ODYSSEY® battery booth no. A1838 and SEMA ODYSSEY® battery booth no. 23659, EnerSys will present its new line of ODYSSEY® battery chargers.
These chargers are designed to efficiently charge various ODYSSEY® battery models and other high-quality 12-volt AGM flooded lead acid and lithium batteries.
They feature built-in temperature controls and a battery status indicator, ensuring high-performance and speed for a range of applications, from personal vehicles to professional auto body workshops.
In addition to the chargers, the exhibits will feature the first-ever Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) power solution for automotive auxiliary applications – the ODYSSEY® ODS-AGM14 battery.
Engineered with a vent port that matches factory specifications for a vehicle’s existing vent system, these batteries provide long-lasting power for various automotive auxiliary applications compatible with popular vehicle manufacturers such as BMW®, Mercedes-Benz®, and Dodge®/Chrysler/Jeep.
Thanks to the TPPL design, these batteries can run various systems, from lighting and navigation to high-end stereo setups, without starting the vehicle’s engine.
ODYSSEY® batteries are known for their ample deep cycling reserve power, offering engine cranking pulses of up to 3,125 amps for five seconds, twice the power of conventional lead acid batteries of the same size.
Their AGM construction packs the plates tightly in absorbent fiberglass separators, making the batteries maintenance-free. Backed by an industry-leading warranty, ODYSSEY® batteries boast a two-year storage life at 77°F (25°C) and come in various sizes with Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) as high as 2,250.
